Volkswagen CC is a stylish performance car. The 2015 version is virtually unchanged from 2014 when navigation and Volkswagen Car-Net, for linking the car and your iPhone, Android or other computer device, became standard fare on all CC model trims (2.0T Sport, 2.0T R-Line, 2.0T Executive, and VR6 4MOTION Executive). Sold in coupe or sedan, the CC is available with either a 2.0-liter TSI 4-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 engine. The 4-cylinder engine powers a front wheel drive CC, while the V6 engine powers the CC with 4MOTION permanent all wheel drive.
A one-week test drive of the front wheel drive CC showed the unwavering power of the turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces 200 horsepower at 5100 rpm and 207 pounds-feet at 1700 rpm. The 4-cylinder engine mates to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. CC’s sport-tuned suspension underscored the test driven sedan’s spirited handling during cornering, but the four-door always presented a comfortable, non-agitated ride. MSRP of the CC 2.0T Sport is $32,685. When fitted with 4-cylinder and 6-speed manual transmission, the CC collects estimated mpg of 21 city/32 highway.
