Imagine someone being blindfolded and put in the front passenger seat of the all-new Focus. When the blindfold was removed, chances are the person might not guess the interior belongs to the completely redesigned Focus. Why? Because this small car has an upscale, high-tech look that one would expect to find in a more expensive, larger car. The fit and finish in the cabin also conveys a look that’s associated with costlier cars. Focus also feels roomy, much roomier than expected for a small car. The four-door sedan showcases a relatively quiet interior—primarily attributed to thicker side and rear glass, an acoustic layer on the windshield and a 30 percent stiffer body structure than the previous generation model.

The front wheel drive Focus is powered by a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 160 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 146 pounds-feet of peak torque at 4450 rpm. Compared to the previous 2.0-liter engine, the new 4-cylinder kicks out 20 more horsepower while contributing to an up-tick in fuel economy. More than half of the Focus body shell is made of high strength steels while ultra high strength steels are prevalent in the skeletal structure. Focus is sold in S, SE, SEL and Titanium trims and is offered with 6-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual. Estimated mpg fuel economy when fitted with the automatic transmission is 27 city/37 highway. MSRP of Focus SEL sedan is $20,270.
