The all-new Juke crossover provides peppy power and nearly 36 cubic feet of cargo space when the 60/40 split second row seat is folded flat. Its interior catches a coolness factor without drifting into a zone of distraction for the driver. (A good illustrator is the center console. It’s right-sized, easy-to-use, and resembles a high-gloss painted motorcycle fuel tank.) Juke features front bolstered seats, a standard 6-way manual driver’s seat/4-way manual front passenger seat, and speed-sensitive automatic door locks. The Integrated Control (I-CON) system provides three driving modes: normal, sport and eco. Throttle, transmission and steering responses are appropriately matched to the selected driving mode.

Nissan Juke is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder. The engine, which makes its North American debut on the Juke, collects 188 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 177 lbs-ft of torque between 2000 and 5200 rpm. A 6-speed manual and a continuously variable automatic are the transmission choices. The 99.6-inch wheelbase Juke is sold in S, SV and SL trims. Available in front wheel drive and all wheel drive, the crossover’s torque vectoring AWD system splits the torque up to 50:50 between front and rear wheels—in addition to a side-to-side torque split across the rear axle. The AWD Juke SL with the continuously variable transmission tallies mpg fuel estimates of 25 city/30 highway and carries a MRSP of $24,570.
