The 2010 Caliber tweaked the interior with various revisions (including a new instrument panel with center stow bin) while the 2011 version puts an accent on the entry-level compact vehicle’s exterior with six new color choices. Other changes for 2011 include a new navigation radio with Sirius Travel Link and retuned steering for a more directional, controlled feel. Caliber is sold in five trims (Express, Mainstreet, Uptown, Heat, Rush). Each version provides a unique vibe in terms of presentation, power, and packaging. As the performance dancer, Caliber Rush is fitted with several staples, including a spoiler, unique 5-speed manual transmission, and a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine.

The 2.4-liter, 16-valve engine with dual variable valve timing churns out 172 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 165 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm. (Standard engine is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 158 horsepower and 141 pounds-feet of torque.) For 2011 models, electronic stability control becomes standard fare on Mainstreet, Heat, Uptown and Rush versions. The five-door Caliber Rush with standard sport suspension, all-season performance tires/18-inch aluminum chrome-clad wheels, and the optional continuously variable transaxle transmission nabs estimated mpg of 22 city/27 highway and carries a MSRP of $20,085.
