The Acura MDX appeals on multiple levels to a multi-generational audience. MDX spotlights an interior that personifies comfort—easy to reach controls, ventilated front seats (part of the new Advance Package), and exceptionally good ingress-egress. This luxury SUV’s exterior kicks up its enticement factor in the 2010 model year with a revised hood, new grille, side sills, front and rear fascias, brighter taillights, and other cosmetic changes. The navigation system is shown on a new 8-inch high-resolution color display that’s appropriately positioned for the driver’s line of vision. Automatic temperature/fan speed adjustments occur via a GPS-linked, solar-sensing climate control system that’s one of the new for 2010 items included on the Technology Package.

Performance gets a boost from a new 3.7-liter V6 that produces 300 horsepower at 6300 rpm and 270 pounds-feet of peak torque at 4500 rpm. The engine mates to an all-new sequential SportShift 6-speed automatic transmission with new multi-clutch torque converter. Compared to the 2009 MDX, the new powertrain elicits a one-mile per gallon gain on estimated city and highway fuel economy numbers. MDX’s four-wheel fully independent suspension, revised steering system and optional 19-inch wheels facilitate a ride and handling experience that is just as nice for the front row riders as it is for the passengers in the third row. MDX provides more than 85 cubic feet of cargo space. MSRP for the MDX with the Advance, Technology and Entertainment Packages is $53,755. The estimated mpg for MDX is 16 city/21 highway.
