For those who want their street wheels to take on a decidedly racy appeal, the Impreza WRX sedan is a contender. The 2003 model year offers a limited edition (1,500 units) WRX sedan in sonic yellow. While the rear spoiler, functional hood scoop, and paint job give the car a distinct look, the inside also can be rally-style fashioned: titanium ‘piston head’ shift knob, turbo gauge on steering wheel (part of a performance package). The car also features WRX embroidered carpeted floor mats, side bolstered front seats, silver trims on vents/around center stack/gauges, and Momo-brand leather wrapped steering wheel.

WRX is powered by an exclusive intercooled/turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 227 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 217 pounds-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. With a few quick shifts, it’s possible to break the zero to 60 mph barrier in less than 6 seconds. Like all Subaru products, Impreza WRX features all wheel drive. WRX is further dressed out in a special, sport-tuned four-wheel independent suspension. Not to get too sidetracked on the power of WRX, the sedan dishes out decent per gallon fuel economy numbers of 20 city/27 highway. MSRP is $24,590.
