A main attraction for the Infiniti QX50 crossover utility vehicle is the roomy ride. Legroom is very comparable for front seat (39.6 inches) and rear seat (38.7 inches) occupants. The QX50 also provides a dandy amount of cargo space with more than 31 cubic feet with second row seat upright and up to 65.1 cubic feet (without panoramic roof) with second row seat folded. There are five QX50 trims: Pure, Luxe, Sport, Sensory, and Autograph. The 2024 QX50 is essentially unchanged from the prior model year.
Powering the QX50 is a variable compression turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that provides 268 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque from 1,600-4800 rpm. Engine mates to a continuously variable transmission with manual shift and downshift rev matching. During a week-long test drive, the powertrain combination performed well at highway speeds, but felt a bit tardy at initial acceleration. The tested 110.2-inch wheelbase Infiniti QX50 Autograph AWD model collects estimated mpg of 22 city/28 highway and carries a base MSRP of $57,900.
