The all-electric 2024 Kia EV9 G-Line is a three-row utility vehicle that can move fast, hitting 60 mph in 4.5 seconds via AMCI Testing, a third party source. For this reviewer, the performance-minded EV9 GT-Line is indeed impressive with its acceleration prowess. But there’s much more to this vehicle, essentially the electric counterpart to the three-row Kia Telluride. A week-long EV9 G-Line test drive revealed this crossover utility vehicle to be a quiet oasis at highway speeds. Roominess is plentiful for occupants as is stow space. There’s slightly more than 20 cubic feet behind an upright third row, 43.5 cubic feet with third row seat folded, and 81.7 cubic feet with second and third row seats folded.
Tested EV9 GT-Line all-wheel drive uses a 99.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and two electric motors for a combined 379 horsepower. EV9 is safety-flush with 25 standard driver assist and collision avoidance features, including automatic emergency braking with evasive steering assist. The vehicle also offers front, rear and side parking distance warning with an audible alert. Kia’s 122-inch wheelbase EV9 G-Line AWD has a MPGe of 88 city, 72 highway and a driving range of up to 270 miles. Tested EV9 G-Line AWD carries a suggested base MSRP of $73,900.
