As America’s best-selling passenger car for 14 consecutive years, buyers have found lots to like with the Toyota Camry. That ‘like’ sentiment was on full display during a week-long test drive of the 2017 model. Camry features an attractive cabin with upscale materials. This 109.3-inch
wheelbase car handles well in tight spots, thanks to a 36.7-ft turning circle. The ride is roomy for backseat riders, thanks in large part to 38.9 inches of rear seat legroom. Camry can handle a considerable number of grocery bags and other items with 15.4 cubic feet of trunk space.

Powering the test driven Camry was a 3.5-liter V6 producing 268 horsepower at 6200 rpm and 248 pounds-feet of torque at 4700 rpm. The V6 engine mates to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Toyota Camry also offers a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder as well as a hybrid model with an Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder and electric motor. The 109.3-inch wheelbase sedan is sold in four trims (LE, SE, XLE, and XSE.) MSRP of the 7th generation front wheel drive test driven Camry XSE is $31,370. The V6-powered sedan collects mpg of 21 city/30 highway.
