The 2015 Mustang took 50 years of history and bundled it up an all-new package that looks great, rides great, and hustles out of the gate. Ford also put on a MSRP that underscores why this muscle car is a segment stand-out. A one-week Mustang GT Coupe test drive highlighted a highly capable car in jaunts around the city. But at highway speeds, the tested 5.0-liter V8- powered two-door showcased its rule-breaking abilities. Mustang is offered with 4, 6, and 8- cylinder engines--each able to grab a minimum of 300 horsepower. The stopping power is equally impressive. Four-wheel power disc brakes with four-sensor, four-channel antilock braking system and electronic stability control are standard. (Brembo brakes are optional.)

Mustang spins an estimated 435 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 400 pounds-feet of torque at 4250 rpm on the 5.0-liter V8 engine. With all-new front and rear suspension systems part of the engineering equation, the 107.1-inch wheelbase Mustang provides high-sport driving dynamics. High-end cabin materials offset a nice mix of retro cues and tech features (including standard rearview camera, USB ports, and voice-activated SYNC connectivity). Mustang coupe’s trunk has 13.5 cubic feet of stow space. The rear wheel drive Ford Mustang GT Coupe Premium with V8 and 6-speed manual transmission has an MSRP of $36,100 and estimated mpg ratings of 15 city and 25 highway.
