The two-door ATS is Cadillac’s first compact luxury coupe. That’s a nice tagline, but this 2-door is a splendid compliment to the four-door ATS that debuted in the 2013 model year. This spry coupe’s driving dynamics make acceleration-hungry drivers giddy. Sharing its 109.3-inch wheelbase with the sedan, the coupe differs from the four-door via the doors, roof, trunk lid, fenders, and front fascia. (It’s also the first vehicle sporting a revised Cadillac crest.) The ATS Coupe is well-balanced with a 60.3-inch front track and a 61.7-inch rear track and is offered in rear wheel drive and all wheel drive. (The sedan’s front track is 59.50-inches, and the rear track is 60.90-inches.)

ATS Coupe is powered by a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder delivering 272 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 295 pounds-feet of torque between 3000-4600 rpm. The high- performance engine is a 3.6-liter V6 producing 321 horsepower and 275 pounds-feet of torque. During a one-week test drive, the ATS coupe provided smooth driving responses via its ZF rack- mounted electric power assisted and variable assist steering. OnStar’s 4G LTE connectivity enables a built-in WiFi hotspot for connecting up to seven devices. The rear wheel drive ATS coupe with 2.0-liter engine collects estimated mpg of 21 city/30 highway and carries a MSRP of $41,920.
