The 2012 Chrysler 200 convertible was a fun car to drive. But suspension upgrades for the 2013 model year make this car even more fun to drive. Suspension modifications include increasing the front stabilizer bar from 25 mm to 27 mm, adding rebound spring to the front struts, altering the damping rates, and ratcheting up the front spring rates from 180 pounds per inch to 201 pounds per inch. Rear suspension changes include revising the shock damping, a new rear jounce bumper, and increasing the rear spring rate from 220 pounds per inch to 270 pounds per inch. The end result is more controlled body roll, especially when the tested two-door car was cruising through S-curves.

Chrysler 200 convertible is sold in choice of three trims: Touring, Limited, and S. All models are offered with either a power cloth top or a power retractable hard top. The 200 is powered by either a 3.6-liter V6 (producing 283 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 260 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm) or a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder (producing 173 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 166 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm). The test driven 200 convertible displayed sufficient glam with its various standard and optional features. Even the practical elements are appealing, like the windscreen with its zipper storage bag. With top up, the convertible has approximately 31 cubic feet of trunk space. But with the convertible top down, there’s only 7.0 cubic feet of trunk space. The 200S convertible with V6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission has estimated mpg of 19 city/29 highway and carries an MSRP of $32,595.
