Nissan Quest knows what minivan occupants want. Redesigned in the 2011 model year, Quest is a practical utilitarian. The useful amenities include dual sliding side doors, two glass moonroofs, theater-style, fold-flat second and third row seats, a second row removable floor console as well as second and third row side window sun shades (standard on LE trim). The 118.1-inch wheelbase minivan uses the same platform as the Maxima and Altima sedans and Murano crossover. While passengers have ample head and legroom, there’s also a covered rear storage zone behind the third row seat.
Power for the front wheel drive Quest is provided by a 3.5-liter V6 (producing 260 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 240 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm) that mates to a continuously variable transmission. A 4.3-inch color dashboard display is standard on SV and SL trims while the LE trim has an 8-inch dashboard touch screen. Quest LE provides a standard advanced climate control system. Sensors continually monitor the outside air and if odors are detected, the system automatically prevents interior admission. With estimated mpg of 19 city and 24 highway, Quest LE has a suggested retail price of $41,350.
