It’s always a great escape to take a ride in a convertible. And, the Chrysler 200 convertible supplies plenty of reasons to jump in and enjoy the tangled hair that results from a top-down cruise. The 200 offers a choice of tops, either a power-operated cloth or a retractable hardtop. Both versions can be put in motion by pressing a key fob button. Two exterior colors and a black with pearl white interior color palette (on Limited model) are new for 2012. The 108.9-inch wheelbase convertible is offered in three trims: Touring, Limited, and S. This midsize convertible truly provides room for four adults. With top up, the car offers 13.3 cubic feet of trunk space. But with top down, the trunk space shrinks to seven cubic feet.

Engine choices are a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that produces 173 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 166 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm, or a 3.6-liter V6 that releases 283 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 260 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm. Both engines mate to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The front wheel drive two-door provides several standard features, including anti- lock brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, active head restraints, rear window defroster, power heated side mirrors, and 6-way power adjust driver and front passenger seats. Estimated mpg numbers for the 200 when equipped with V6 engine are 19 city and 29 highway. The 200 Convertible Limited carries a MSRP of $31,770.
