In its second year as a second-generation offering, Murano puts a few more items on the standard equipment list. For the 2010 model year, the midsize crossover SUV offers push button start and privacy glass on all models (S, SL and LE). The SL model also gains roof rails and a security system as standard fare. Murano SL trim’s standard list is comprehensive and includes various gee-whiz items, like a 60/40 fold flat rear seatback with power return, sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors and extenders as well as illuminated steering wheel switches for cruise control. Murano rides on a modified Altima sedan platform that provides more torsional rigidity than the first-generation edition.

Powering the uni-bodied Murano is a 3.5-liter V6 that releases 265 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 248 pounds-feet of torque at 4400 rpm. The engine mates to a continuously variable transmission with a final gear ratio of 5.173:1. Murano is available in all wheel drive and front wheel drive. The 111.2-inch wheelbase vehicle has standard 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, more than 31 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seat upright and 64 cubic feet with rear seat folded flat. Legroom for rear seat passengers is more than 36 inches. Estimated mpg for the 5-passenger Murano is 18 city and 23 highway. MSRP for all wheel drive Murano SL is $31,200.
