For the current model year, Ford Freestar offers various new features, including an all-new interior that emphasizes storage space, fold-flat third row seating, optional DVD entertainment system, and an available 4.2-liter V6 engine. Freestar is sold in five trim levels, and different front, rear and body-side characteristics distinguish each model. The minivan provides seating for as many as seven passengers, and the third row seat can be positioned to face rearward, making the seat perfect for tailgating. A multitude of sound-suppression treatments – including thicker front side windows, altered roof rack and sound-blocking technology – make the Freestar’s interior relatively free of unwanted noise.

Freestar Limited is packed with standard fare, such as power sliding doors, remote keyless entry with puddle lamps, overhead console with exterior temperature and compass display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear seat audio controls, and power adjustable pedals with memory. Base engine is a 3.9-liter V6, while standard engine on Freestar Limited is a 4.2-liter V6 that produces an estimated 202 horsepower and 267 pounds-feet of peak torque. Maximum towing capacity is 2,000 pounds, but later in the model year the maximum towing moves to 3,500 pounds. Estimated per gallon fuel economy of the front wheel drive vehicle with 4.2-liter V6 and four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is 16 city/22 highway. Freestar Limited MSRP is $32,945.
