The newest member of the Infiniti team is the M45, a rear wheel drive sedan that shares its impressive 340 horsepower, 333 pounds-feet of peak torque, 4.5-liter V8 with the automaker’s flagship Q45 sedan. M45 is comfortable just roaming the streets on a leisurely trip, but the muscular instincts make this rear wheel drive car with 18-inch alloy wheels a perfect choice for a more performance-oriented drive. Sold in only one version, there are various options available, like a $300 ale-colored wood trim interior, a $2,700 technology package that features a DVD-based navigation system, and a $950 comfort and convenience package with items that include a tire pressure monitoring system, automatic dimming driver side mirror, and full size spare tire and wheel.

Standard equipment is plentiful on the M45, including a vehicle information center with a 5.8-inch color LCD screen, air conditioning/heat vents for rear passengers via the rear console, high intensity discharge Xenon headlamps, traction control, cruise control, analog clock, and Bose audio system with AM/FM/cassette player as well as a glove-box mounted 6-disc CD changer. Although the nearly 6-inch mid-dash located screen (used for navigation/vehicle information center) is the latest in-vehicle craze, the bright light that emits during night driving is a bit distracting. Estimated mile per gallon fuel economy is 17 city/23 highway. MSRP is $42,300.
